MRT Jakarta Underground Section CP104 & CP105

Providing Critical MEP Support for Indonesia’s Largest Urban Transit Development

Location: Jakarta | Project Type: Infrastructure | Year: 2015

The development of the MRT Jakarta is a major milestone in Indonesia’s public transportation history, aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving mobility across the capital. Sections CP104 and CP105 form part of the underground portion of this ambitious project, consisting of tunnels, stations, and supporting infrastructure vital for smooth and safe train operations.

Our company was selected to deliver key MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for this underground section, ensuring that these complex transit environments are safe, efficient, and built to international standards.

About the Project

The MRT Jakarta Phase 1 connects Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta to the Hotel Indonesia roundabout in Central Jakarta, with a significant portion of the route running underground. CP104 and CP105 cover some of the most technical segments of the underground stretch, including deep excavation, structural works, and mechanical integration inside confined spaces.

9MEP systems in underground transit environments are critical—not just for passenger comfort, but for life safety, air quality, and emergency preparedness. Our role focused on integrating these systems seamlessly into the civil and architectural design, while meeting stringent reliability and maintenance requirements.

MEP Scope of Work

We delivered essential systems tailored to the unique conditions of an underground rail environment:

1. MVAC System (Mechanical Ventilation & Air Conditioning)

We installed a high-capacity ventilation system to manage airflow within tunnels and station spaces. This includes normal and emergency ventilation to handle heat, smoke, and fresh air circulation. Our MVAC solution also includes air conditioning for operational areas and staff zones.

2. Plumbing System

The plumbing network was designed to support both daily operations and emergency systems. It includes water supply for sanitation and utility spaces, along with drainage systems to manage wastewater and prevent flooding in underground areas.

3. Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm System

Given the enclosed nature of underground stations, fire safety is a top priority. We installed a complete fire suppression system including sprinklers, hydrants, and fire hose reels. This is supported by a fire alarm network with smoke and heat detectors, alarm panels, and system integration with the MRT’s central control room for immediate response coordination.

Our Value

Our involvement in the MRT Jakarta CP104 & CP105 sections reflects our capability to execute complex MEP works in highly regulated and technically demanding environments. From confined space installation to integration with transit system operations, we ensured that our solutions enhanced both passenger safety and operational performance.

By contributing to one of Indonesia’s most important infrastructure projects, we reaffirm our commitment to building smarter, safer cities—through reliable and future-ready MEP systems.
